I used a plastic table cover as the backing of my bulletin board; a cheaper alternative to fabric and more durable than bulletin board paper. The "roof" of the "hut" is made out of 2 straw luau skirts that I purchased from the dollar store along with the palm tree. The job squares were made out of neon carstock with animal print borders printed on them.
The following, ""You Can!" Says Toucan" bulletin board was created as an incentive for students to master their math facts. We will work on our addition facts in the beginning of the year and move on to subtraction. Again, I will use clothespins, this time with geckos glued to them, with the children's names on them to attach to the most recent number fact they have mastered.
Again, I used a plastic table cover as the backing to the bulletin board. It was the perfect size for these 9' panels, only had to trim a little off. I purchased the toucan cutout at Dollar Tree. I created the numbers out of neon cardstock and just added the animal print borders and used a special animal-like font!
